A practical and evidence-backed approach for improving egg quality and fertility鈥?fully revised and updated in 2019. <br /><br />The latest scientific research reveals that egg quality has a powerful impact on how long it takes to get pregnant and the risk of miscarriage. Poor egg quality is in fact the single most important cause of age-related infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and failed IVF cycles. <br /><br />Based on a vast array of scientific research, It Starts with the Egg provides a comprehensive program for improving egg quality in three months, with specific advice tailored to a variety of fertility challenges鈥?including endometriosis, unexplained infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, PCOS, and recurrent miscarriage. <br /><br />With concrete strategies such as minimizing exposure to common toxins, choosing the right vitamins and supplements to safeguard developing eggs, and harnessing nutritional advice shown to boost IVF success rates, this book offers practical solutions that will help you get pregnant faster and deliver a healthy baby. <br /><br />鈥淩ebecca Fett鈥檚 first edition of 鈥業t Starts with the Egg鈥?revolutionized the way the fertility community viewed supplements and the impact of environmental toxins on reproductive health. Through summarizing evidence-based research, she took the guess work out of recommendations. I鈥檓 thrilled to have a new edition to recommend to my patients."<br />- Dr. Lora Shahine, M.D., FACOG, Director of the Center for Recurrent Pregnancy Loss at Pacific NW Fertility,

No other cluster of medical issues affects the genders as differently as those related to procreation鈥攃ontraception, sterilization, abortion, artificial insemination, in-vitro fertilization, surrogate motherhood, and genetic screening. Yet the moral diversity among feminists has led to political fragmentation, foiling efforts to create policies that are likely to serve the interests of the largest possible number of women. In this remarkable book, Rosemarie Tong offers an approach to feminist bioethics that serves as a catalyst, bringing together varied perspectives on choice, control, and connection. Emphasizing the complexity of feminist debates, she guides feminists toward consensus in thought, cooperation in action, and a world that would have no room for domination and subordination. Tong fairly and comprehensively presents the traditions of both feminist and nonfeminist ethics and bioethics. Although feminist approaches to bioethics derive many insights from nonfeminist ethics and bioethics, Tong shows that their primary source of inspiration is feminist ethics, leading feminist bioethicists to ask the so-called woman question in order to raise women鈥檚 consciousness about the systems, structures, and relationships that oppress them. Feminist bioethicists are, naturally, committed to acting locally in the worlds of medicine and science. But their different feminist voices must also be raised at the policy table in order to make gender equity a present reality rather than a mere future possibility. Inability to define a plan that guarantees liberation for all women must not prevent feminists from offering a plan that promises to improve the welfare of many women. Otherwise, a perspective less appealing to women may fill the gap.

<b>What would you do if you found out the baby you carried inside you for nine months was not yours?</b><br /><br />Cameron and Andy have the perfect marriage, apartment, and jobs in New York City. The only thing missing is a baby. Unable to get pregnant, Cameron turns to in vitro fertilization in hopes of becoming mother. When the positive pregnancy test comes back, she thinks she can finally have it all. That is, until she gives birth and realizes her baby鈥檚 blood type is not compatible with her own.<br /><br />There is just one explanation: a mistake at the IVF clinic. An investigation reveals that the baby is genetically related to Avery and Graham, another couple who went through IVF at the same clinic. They also recently had a baby鈥攚ho happens to be Cameron and Andy鈥檚 genetic child.<br /><br />When the mix up is discovered, a heated battle ensues: should the couples switch babies so they can raise their genetic child, or should each keep the baby the mother nurtured inside her for nine months?<br /><br />The ethical and legal dilemma plays out in the character鈥檚 personal lives and the courtroom where multiple questions are raised: Does nature or nurture make someone a mother? What is better for the babies?<br /><br /><i>My Heart from Inside</i> is an emotional page turner with unexpected twists and turns. It will make you think about the meaning of motherhood, and what you would do in the characters鈥?shoes. Perfect for fans of Jodi Picoult, Lisa Wingate, and Liane Moriarty.
